The counter, briefly
Our stats engine is deliberately boring: when a game page loads, it adds one to that layout’s daily count. No tracking pixels, no personal data, no third-party analytics on the play itself — just an anonymous tally per layout, per day, per language. It went live on July 22, so everything below is the first week of our life as a data-having website.

The Turtle taking first place won’t shock anyone who knows mahjong solitaire — it’s the iconic shape, the one most people picture when they hear the word “mahjong”, and the layout generations of players learned on. Nine views across our English and German pages say the instinct travels.
Classic at four is the steady runner-up — the house-standard board for players who want the game without the ceremony. And the Tower, tall and narrow and unforgiving, drew its two views from Germany and Spain — our first hint that different layouts may have different homelands. What we’ll do with it
