How to Play Classic Mahjong
Classic Mahjong is a free online Mahjong Solitaire layout played with 144 tiles (288 for Double Play) arranged in the shape of a classic. The goal is to clear the board by matching pairs of identical free tiles. A tile is free when it has no tile on top of it and at least one side (left or right) is open. Click two matching free tiles to remove them. Clear all tiles to win.
This layout is rated Easy with an average completion time around 3m. Use the Hint button if you are stuck, the Undo button to take back a move, and the Shuffle button when no more moves are available. Your best time is saved in your browser, so you can try to beat it on the next run.
Tips
Classic is the traditional pyramid the whole game family grew from, and it rewards the fundamentals: free the long edges first, prefer matches that uncover new tiles, and never empty a suit carelessly — a suit with one tile left is a dead end. The center stack holds most of the answers, so open it gradually instead of rushing the top.
