How to Play Hollow Mahjong
Hollow Mahjong is a free online Mahjong Solitaire layout played with 144 tiles (288 for Double Play) arranged in the shape of a hollow. The goal is to clear the board by matching pairs of identical free tiles. A tile is free when it has no tile on top of it and at least one side (left or right) is open. Click two matching free tiles to remove them. Clear all tiles to win.
This layout is rated Hard with an average completion time around 7m. Use the Hint button if you are stuck, the Undo button to take back a move, and the Shuffle button when no more moves are available. Your best time is saved in your browser, so you can try to beat it on the next run.
Tips
Hollow is a square ring around an empty center, and the inner wall is the danger zone: those tiles have only one free edge until the ring thins out. Clear the outer wall evenly first, then collapse inward. Pairs split between the inner and outer walls decide the endgame — track them early, because by the time you need them it is too late to fix.
