How to Play Turtle Mahjong
Turtle Mahjong is a free online Mahjong Solitaire layout played with 144 tiles (288 for Double Play) arranged in the shape of a turtle. The goal is to clear the board by matching pairs of identical free tiles. A tile is free when it has no tile on top of it and at least one side (left or right) is open. Click two matching free tiles to remove them. Clear all tiles to win.
This layout is rated Easy with an average completion time around 4m. Use the Hint button if you are stuck, the Undo button to take back a move, and the Shuffle button when no more moves are available. Your best time is saved in your browser, so you can try to beat it on the next run.
Tips
The Turtle’s long bottom rows are your lifeline: clear them early to keep the board breathing. Most of the tiles are buried in the tall center stack, so when a side tile and a center tile both have a match, take the center one. Leave the single cap tile on top alone until you can pair it immediately — it holds the whole stack shut.
