How to Play UFO Mahjong
UFO Mahjong is a free online Mahjong Solitaire layout played with 144 tiles (288 for Double Play) arranged in the shape of a ufo. The goal is to clear the board by matching pairs of identical free tiles. A tile is free when it has no tile on top of it and at least one side (left or right) is open. Click two matching free tiles to remove them. Clear all tiles to win.
This layout is rated Hard with an average completion time around 7m. Use the Hint button if you are stuck, the Undo button to take back a move, and the Shuffle button when no more moves are available. Your best time is saved in your browser, so you can try to beat it on the next run.
Tips
UFO spreads its tiles across a wide, shallow disc, so most of the board is visible from the first move — use that to plan three or four matches ahead instead of grabbing the first pair you see. The raised dome in the middle is the only real stack: strip the rim first and save the dome for the endgame. With so many open pairs, the real risk is matching greedily and stranding singles.
