How to Play Great Wall Mahjong
Great Wall Mahjong is a free online Mahjong Solitaire layout played with 144 tiles (288 for Double Play) arranged in the shape of a great wall. The goal is to clear the board by matching pairs of identical free tiles. A tile is free when it has no tile on top of it and at least one side (left or right) is open. Click two matching free tiles to remove them. Clear all tiles to win.
This layout is rated Hard with an average completion time around 8m. Use the Hint button if you are stuck, the Undo button to take back a move, and the Shuffle button when no more moves are available. Your best time is saved in your browser, so you can try to beat it on the next run.
Tips
The Great Wall is one long snake of rows, with nearly everything on the same level — free tiles are plentiful, which makes discipline the whole game. Start at the row ends and work inward; middle tiles have no free edge until their neighbors disappear. Skip any match that unlocks nothing. With this many open tiles, losing usually means you spent the good pairs too early.
