Editorial Policy

FreeMahjongPlay publishes Mahjong Solitaire layouts and guides. This policy explains how we choose what to publish and how we keep it accurate.

Layout selection

We publish layouts that are solvable, tested, and popular with players. Before a layout goes live, a member of our team plays it end to end at least twice to confirm the difficulty rating and the average completion time shown on the game page.

How to Play guides

Every game page includes a How to Play section written for someone who has never seen that layout before. We avoid filler and keep the instructions testable: if a reader cannot complete a board after reading our guide, the guide needs work and we revise it.

Difficulty ratings

Layouts are rated Easy, Medium, or Hard based on the number of available pairs in the opening position, the exposure of key tiles, and our own measured average completion times. Ratings are reviewed quarterly.

Corrections

If we publish something wrong, we fix it. Report errors through our contact page and we will review and correct within two business days.
